Decorative Stamped Concrete is the process of coloring and texturing freshly placed concrete using a system of products and tools to create beautiful and unique surfaces. The concrete is poured, colored and then imprinted with a stamp to create the appearance of natural stone. Many different colors and textures are available that simulate slate, stone, granite, brick, cobblestone, etc. Even the most complex designs incorporating steps, courtyards, and fountains can be achieved. Stamped concrete combines cost effectiveness with great design, flexibility and product durability. After the stamped concrete has been installed, it is then washed and sealed to preserve your investment. We seal only with high- quality sealers that will prevent staining and fading of color. A Stamped Overlay System is the process turning a boring or unsightly slab of concrete into a beautiful and unique surface. The process includes coating the existing concrete with a product that is on 3/8” thick that provides a 6,000 p.s.i. durability rating. The process includes applying the material, followed by coloring and texturing to achieve the look of natural stone, slate, etc. Stamped Overlay Systems combine cost effectiveness with great design, flexibility and product durability, without having to tear out or remove an existing slab of concrete. After the Stamped Overlay System has been installed, it is then washed and sealed to preserve your investment. We seal only with high- quality sealers that will prevent staining and fading of color.
ACID STAINS
Acid stained concrete mixes chemicals into the concrete which causes a reaction with minerals that are already present to create various colors. Because the color is then mixed in according to the mineral deposits in the concrete, it creates a mottled look that is almost identical to natural marble. These colors are natural earth tone colors like the browns, reds and greens you see in classic architecture.
